Transformation Engines are objects seen in de Blob and de Blob 2. They were created by the Professor to help in the fight against the INKT Corporation. Their appearance is like a glass orb with patterns on the outside and they have a small plant inside of it. They can change the environment by bringing life to Inky affected areas such as growing plants and tress, cleansing water polluted by ink and can even create a new path to help Blob progress through each level. They can also change the look of Inky buildings when activated inside them to make them bright and colourful.
When Blob has painted enough buildings to create enough colour energy a Transformation Engine will appear in the area. Blob can then activate it by slamming it.

Hitting Transformation Engines in each level is optional; however they must be all activated to be awarded with the Transformation Award at the end of each level. The only one that has to be activated is the one that appears after Comrade Black is defeated.

The Transformation Engines are a lot more important as Blob has to activate each one when they appear in order to be able to progress to the next part of the level. These can be used both outside in the world, as well as inside INKT Landmarks.
